“All Children Are Linguistic Geniuses”
The Enrichment Programs
We have integrated the British Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum with the institute’s pioneering enrichment programs to nurture Intellectual, Physical and Social excellence in all children. We are committed to small class sizes and believe that low student to teacher ratios lead to the greatest success for young children.
We introduce children to the distinguished repertoire of wonderful and wondrous poetry; brief vignettes from some the finest plays in history and the rich legacy of works from revered authors. Children who are exposed to rich content from the onset have a natural inclination to understand, unravel and often create outstanding work themselves.
Mathematics is one of the easiest subjects there is, because it is one of the least ambiguous. It is also one of the most enjoyable when properly taught. We teach children the language of Mathematics in reference to quantity recognition, equations and problem solving. This enables them to leap from simple mechanics of arithmetic to the much more fascinating and creative world of thinking, reasoning and logic
We give our children the facts about the world around them – the natural world of insects, mammals, reptiles, birds, fish, trees, and plants. Children discover the world of great art masterpieces, history, classic poetry, and science. These knowledge bits of information literally grow the brain and become the base of all future knowledge.
All children are born to speak and learn from their environment and our language program prescribes to this ‘mother-tongue learning philosophy.’ It is meticulously designed to create a natural affiliation to French and Arabic along with English. Our programs will be presented in all three languages through out the week and will inspire children to use them in everyday conversation.
The music program at Masterminds is a wonderful blend of Intellectual, Physical and Social development. We teach all children to play the violin with emphasis on the essence of the music. Our aim is not to produce musicians but rather cultivate musical ability to a high degree of accomplishment that translates into equally outstanding ability in any chosen field.
Running is not just a sport or a means of staying fit and healthy. Running is a function of the human brain. Running, as a sophisticated function of the cortex, helps to develop the cortex. As a result, the other sophisticated functions of the cortex—reading, understanding, language and writing—are helped to develop. Our running program is designed for the child to live and enjoy in the moment. The frequency, intensity and duration of the program is constantly evolving as the child develops.
Children are born swimmers. If we allow them to continue to be in water, they will not lose that ability. Swimming helps stimulate and develop optimal brain function and virtually all the muscles are used to some degree when swimming. Children who are competent and confident swimmers are more likely to confront new physical opportunities throughout life. Our hope is for them to be ‘participants’ in life, not spectators.
The objective of brachiation is to develop superb respiratory structure so that more oxygen can be made available to the brain. As your child becomes an independent brachiator you will see his chest developing and growing. Children benefit from deeper breathing and fewer colds and infections.
Gymnastic combines all the highest forms of human mobility into one aesthetically beautiful and, at times spectacular event. Grace, coordination, strength, balance and flexibility are the core of the program. Each session is designed for the child to succeed. Children need to be in awe of their ability. By providing extraordinary opportunity in an ideal environment we facilitate a child’s growth from one brain stage to the next. The child grows in strength, agility and confidence.
Our social code program fosters an innate sense of responsibility in children. We function as a community and children are given specific goals and responsibilities for themselves and are assigned responsibilities for their family and community. Being an active and responsible member of the community is a true privilege that gives children a sense of purpose and pride.
