I feel there’s nothing more truly artistic than to love people.

The Masterminds development journey has been meticulously designed by the world’s foremost experts in childhood development, based on the key milestones between the ages of 15 months to 6 years. This is the critical period of rapid brain development in children and the impact that is made here stays with the children throughout their lives. Our enrichment programs have been proven to exponentially grow neural connections. This means that children graduating from Masterminds have a vastly more connected brain with lifelong implications for learning, achievement, emotional resilience and wellbeing.

The Masterminds programs include English, Arabic and French language immersion, learning to play the violin, gymnastics, ball sports and swimming lessons, as well as enrichment programs that will ensure all children can read fluently, do maths and have exceptional knowledge, physical and social awareness, by the age of six. These have been proven to be the building blocks of a strong, well-rounded childhood – and beyond, into a successful adult life.

Child Development Facts

Based on over 60 years of research in child development by Nobel Prize winners:

  • All children are born potential geniuses

  • Every child is born with 1 trillion unconnected neurons in its brain

  • These neurons begin to connect at a very rapid rate between 0 - 6 years, the crucial age for a child’s learning foundation

  • A child is more adept to learn anything during the first 6 years of life than he will be at any other stage

  • The ability of a child is a product of stimulation and opportunity, not of a preset alarm clock or a predetermined genetic design

  • Children would rather learn than do anything else - as long as the process is joyous

  • Capable children are happy children – a better connected brain has lifelong implications for learning, achievement, emotional resilience and wellbeing

Introducing knowledge through our specialized methodology has been proven to grow neural connections in the brain exponentially and multiply the learning child’s intelligence and capabilities

Curriculum

The base curriculum framework that we use is the US Connecticut framework. The purpose of the base framework is to define the minimum outcome standards at each stage. We use the Connecticut framework for a number of reasons:

  • Top performance – Connecticut is one of the highest performing curriculums in the world based on student outcomes

  • Compatibility with Masterminds ‘Pathways to Excellence’ enrichment framework, which defines student outcome standards significantly above the base curriculum

  • Strong alignment to other standards, and ‘crosswalks’ which explain how the standards prepare young children to progress to standards such as the Common Core, UK and IB

Enrichment Programs

Beyond the base curriculum, we implement our proprietary ‘Pathways to Excellence’ framework which outlines our specialized methodology and learning outcomes in the following core areas:

  • Reading & Writing

  • Encyclopedic Knowledge

  • Instant Math

  • Languages

  • Music

  • Physical Excellence

  • Social Development

We developed this framework to inspire a love of learning and especially, to stretch and challenge our children. We are committed to small class sizes and believe that low student to teacher ratios lead to the greatest success for young children. We simply harness children’s innate desire to learn in these areas through personalized attention and we provide planned opportunities, unstructured play, and guidance to develop intellectual, physical and social excellence within each child.

Reading

We introduce children to the distinguished repertoire of wonderful and wondrous poetry; brief vignettes from some the finest plays in history and the rich legacy of works from revered authors. Children who are exposed to rich content from the onset have a natural inclination to understand, unravel and often create outstanding work themselves.
